Active Travel

CSEA have successfully designed and overseen the delivery of numerous active travel schemes all across ireland.

Our service can, and have, included:

  • Designer and PSDP;
  • Option Selection (Multi Criteria Analysis) for route, junctions and bridges;
  • Preliminary Design including Road Safety Audit, AA and EIA Screenings, Flood Risk Assessment;
  • Section 38 and Part 8 Statutory Process, including preparing public display materials, attending public meetings, and presentations to councillors;
  • Extensive consultation with stakeholders including the NTA, TII, Community Groups, Elected Representatives, Inland Fisheries Ireland, National Parks and Wildlife Services and the Office of Public Works;
  • Detailed design of all elements of the works;
  • Preparation of Tender Documentation, management of tender process, assessment of tender and recommendation;
  • Employer’s Representative and Designer at Construction Stage;
  • Full-time site supervision through to Handover.

  • Unfortunately we do not provide design services for very small projects like minor domestic refurbishments and attic conversions etc.

  • Our offices are open weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:30pm with lunch 1:00-2:00. However our staff have hybrid working options so it is best to pre-arrange any in-person meetings directly with your point of contact.
