CSEA were appointed in 2001 but due to funding delays the project was not tendered until 2015. As part of the project existing buildings were renovated. This included a 1980’s extension as well as classroom structure built in the 1800’s.

The site is a city centre in-fill site located on Kevin Street. Due to the historic nature of the site an archaeological dig and assessment was required. The site had old historic demolished buildings and the old Poddle river running next to the site. A site investigation located suitable ground down 5m. Due to the adjacent historic ‘Dutch Billy Building’ dating to the 17th century being next to the proposed school, bored piles were chosen.
